Anahi Diaz from Wickenburg High School is the January CTE Student of the Month.
Diaz is enrolled in her second year of the CTE program – Business, Management and Administrative Services (BMAS). Students learn professional business skills in finance, human resources, marketing, and management. BMAS instructor, Chet Haller, nominated Diaz for the award.
“If I had a business and needed to hire a worker, I would hire Anahi in a second,” said Haller. “She’s a leader. Self-motivated, respectful and the kind of person you’d turn to if you want something done right the first time.”
Diaz serves as treasurer for the Wickenburg DECA chapter. DECA is Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) geared towards students interested in marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business industries. She honed her marketing skills by creating brochures and posters to advertise CTE to Wickenburg Unified School District students.
Congratulations to Anahi!
