“Education is the gateway to a meaningful, rewarding life. Career and technical education provides a variety of “fast passes” to that successful future. I am very fortunate to be one of the people in West-MEC to work directly with the teachers to help create those fast passes for our students.”

“As a former instructor of 26 years, West-MEC allows me to continue to follow my passion for Career and Technical Education. I am a firm believer in the CTE model of instruction and to continually offer opportunity for learning to all.  West-MEC has visionary thinkers, is providing quality facilities for instruction, is hiring quality knowledgeable and passionate instructors and has created a balance with industry and community support in mind.

My philosophy is simple, Passion, Patience and Perseverance, West-MEC allows me to practice it every day.  The ability for me to do what I truly enjoy and believe in is the Passion, the ability to understand it doesn’t come overnight and without hard work is the Patience and knowing that giving up is not an option, advocating for education is a crucial part of what I believe and do.”

“Starting with my involvement in DECA as a high school student, Career and Technical Education has played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today. I am proud to be apart of the West-MEC family and to be able to work with both teachers and students within an organization that truly changes lives and makes a huge impact on the community.”
