GI Bill Education Benefits recipients are required to submit all postsecondary and military transcripts before the end of the first term to be certified for following terms by the VA School Certifying Official. All prior training must be evaluated.
It is the Veteran’s responsibility to notify the VA School Certifying Official at the campus they attend regarding all changes in enrollment, program, enrollment at another institution, address, and all other changes that may impact their veteran’s educational benefits.
MILITARY TUITION ASSISTANCE
Currently, West-MEC programs are not approved for active duty military personnel.

West-MEC Aviation Maintenance Technology program is approved by the Department of Veterans

Computer Assisted Testing Service (CATS)
West-MEC is an approved CATS Test Center for FAA, FCC, Private Pilot and many other exams.

West-MEC will begin Welder Testing in Fall 2016. Testing is done by certified welding instructors (CWI). Instructors will provide all inspections and award certifications.
Weld testing is offered the third Saturday of every month at the Central Campus. Check-in is at 7:30am and testing runs from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Students interested in testing must sign-up at least a week prior to test date. Testers are responsible for all personal protective equipment (PPE). West-MEC will provide all materials and consumables.

The Medical Assisting program prepares students with the necessary clinical and administrative knowledge to become entry-level medical assistants. Students will receive hands-on training and will be taught how to properly administer injections, take vital signs, record EKGs, implement basic accounting procedures, and understand the fundamentals of patient documentation.
